—[8-6-09] Since my last rant on what to believe in roughly 9 years ago, I can't say I've really made much progress. But I recently came across this, from the Bible:

God is Love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love.
I John 4:16-18

The jury's still out on God and, I think, always will be. But, as for advice on how to live our lives on Earth, I really can't think of any better prescription than this one.

One thing that really resonated in my early Christian upbringing and really stuck is the idea of loving, or at least trying to love, everyone as much as or more than myself. If everyone chose to live this way, our world would be amazing!

Although I'll probably never be able to commit to any particular religion, I certainly hope that people of all faiths would appreciate that prescription for life and my dedication to it. And if something outside the universe is following along while I walk my path, I can't imagine that it wouldn't appreciate it too.
